Nightshades that are used for food include tomatoes, potatoes, sweet and hot peppers, eggplant, goji berries, and ashwagandha.
Alliums that are used for food include onions, garlic, scallions, shallots, and chives.
Many people love eating nightshades and alliums and many work with them medicinally, and I honor that. This challenge is designed to provide an opportunity for those looking to discover triggers in their diet (whether they enjoy nightshades and alliums or not) to go off these foods and to see how they feel when they do.
The challenge is set up to transition you off of nightshades and alliums and give you an opportunity to see how they affect you and to work out creative solutions to removing them from your diet. There is no penalty for eating the "wrong food." It's all about loving yourself and becoming aware of how foods may be affecting you so you can feel great and enjoy balanced emotions.
